On Thursday, September 12th, we will participate in Give for Good Louisville, the city’s most significant day of giving to nonprofit organizations and vital causes. We aim to raise $30,000 this year to bolster Wesley House’s efforts, and we want to invite you to join us in helping our community help themselves.
The Impact of Your Donation
Your contribution will directly enhance Wesley House’s initiatives, such as:
- WesKids Child Development Center: Our licensed childcare facility, a Greater Louisville Head Start partner, offers early education for children aged birth to five. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our child-centered approach meets children at their developmental stage and recognizes parents as primary educators. We provide comprehensive support to foster development and prepare children for kindergarten.
- Afterschool Young Brilliant Achievers (YBA) Program: YBA serves students in grades K-8 and is dedicated to bridging the achievement gap in our community by providing academic tutoring and fostering positive social and emotional development. Students participate in the program at Wesley House immediately after school and during fall, spring, and summer breaks. Collaborating with Evolve 502, Metro United Way, Bellarmine University, and numerous community partners, our goal is to equip our children for academic excellence and future achievements.
- Adult Workforce Development Program: This program offers a variety of classes aimed at reskilling and upskilling adults to enhance their earning potential and financial stability. These classes include English as a Second Language, Applied Digital Skills, and our CompTIA A+ certification prep course, which offer comprehensive training for in-demand careers. Wesley House is proud to collaborate with companies and government entities such as Spectrum, GE Appliances, and Louisville Metro Government to promote workforce development.
