Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

Wesley House Community Services is a member of the Louisville Asset Building Coalition. The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is a free tax preparation service that ensures that taxpayers receive their maximum refund for which they are eligible. This is a critical service for the population served and a unique opportunity for a family to set a path for financial security,

English as A Second Language (ESL)

In partnership with Jefferson County Public Schools Adult Education, Classes are for new English language learners at the beginner or moderate level. ESL classes are provided during the academic school year. Classes are held onsite in two hour sessions. The curriculum includes life skills, everyday conversational English, writing, and grammar.

WesTech Training Center

A Vocational Education and Training (VET) focused initiative that prepares learners for competitive career pathways. The mission of WesTech is to equip adult learners to access competitive wage careers that increase the participants’ ability to obtain wealth. The curriculum includes an online platform as well as interactive classroom activities, explanation, and discussion. Participants will engage in certificate and certification coursework and professional development training. The Information Technology pathway includes applied digital skills training and CompTIA A+ certification preparation.
