We Did It Together…

As this very unique and challenging year comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to say thank you and to celebrate an impactful year of ‘helping people help themselves’.

To our Board of Directors, thank you for your steadfast commitment, leadership, and support during these ever-changing times. There is much to be said for a Board that not only provides sound governance, but 100 percent of our Board regularly volunteers and contributes to the organization financially.

To our growing team, thank you for your passion for our community and the people that we serve. Thank you for taking this accelerated ride with me! We pulled together to completely reimagine the way we serve. You are the magic in all the moments when the families that we serve see a spark of light past their current situations.

To our partners, thank you for being advocates for the initiatives that we are most passionate about. Our greatest reward during this crisis has been the outpouring of grace, love, and willingness to work together. I pray that this passion remains prevalent in the years to come.

We owe much gratitude to every stakeholder, nonprofit partner, volunteer, vendor and private donors that believe in our mission and our impact. Thank you for each act of kindness, donation, and collaboration.

I am humbled to be a part of this mission. In 2021, we served 1200 families through our programs and community outreach initiatives. Innovative Kindergarten-readiness efforts were launched. Literacy gaps were bridged. Professional and personal skills are being developed; and economic opportunity is on the rise. This is the work of Wesley House Community Services.

Stay tuned as we continue to elevate the essential work of nonprofits in 2022. Save the date! On March 15, 2022, we will reveal our strategic plan roadmap guiding our focus for the next several years. Thank you for allowing me to lead passionately, boldly, and authentically. I wish you good health, success, and much happiness in the year to come! If you read this message, that means there is still purpose in you. Explore it. Embrace it. Do it.
